Simplicity I

Dear readers,

I'm writing this for all of you as a reminder of how important love is. In my personal opinion, the most significant component to life is giving and receiving love. This, in turn, enables happiness, self-assurance and stability for a simplistic life. Full disclaimer, giving and receiving love is not an innate ability. Such as empathy isn't a fixed characteristic. These abilities and or emotions are learned.

As a general statement, it is hard to love. Many struggle with the idea of loving another person, for fear of commitment and solidification Or even so much as loving yourself as us humans are rendered with imperfections and are naturally flawed. However, when learning to love life, people and or ourselves, it is a beautiful feeling; for possessing a supported foundation of emotion  is important in being certain in the way we feel.

Personally, I would consider myself a naturally happy woman. I smile more than I frown, I laugh more than I cry and I sing more than I whimper. I innately see the good in people rather than their mishaps and therefore I am susceptible to heartbreak and disappointment. However, I understand that my own world will be contingent and in all cases, perception of fortuitous events is key. The way that I view my circumstance, whatever it may be, leads me toward a path of continuous happiness and love of the life I live.

Love also can strike in an unexpected way as receiving love is part of the major component to life. I believe all things happen for a reason and therefore shape us to who we are meant to be. The love of my life was one of the best things to have ever happened to me.

I found love at a strenuous point in my life. I had reached a point in my where I started making my own decisions and holding myself accountable for my responsibilities. Graduating high school and starting the rest of my life was a time that I always thought would be in solitude. Until I met my current boyfriend.

He is one of the most amazing people I have ever met thus far. Until him, I have never known anyone who proves the psychological concept that one isn't a product of their environment. He is strong emotionally. He is intelligent naturally. He is beautiful spiritually. I am forever grateful to have stumbled upon a human that incentives me to become the best version of me. To live life fully. And to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. I have learned that being in a couple and more specifically being in love doesn't mean sacrificing a part of yourself and surrendering it to the other person. It means being yourself and having self-assurance with another person at your side.

In conclusion, I challenge you to love more. Partake in a daily ritual (if you will) that consists of a mindful and active search for love. Whether it may be a better understanding of yourself. Or a kindhearted gesture to a stranger. Perhaps a lesson in becoming a good Samaritan. Maybe even a sympathetic grin to your worst enemy. No matter the case, love is a powerful feeling to emote. It is a shield, a signal and a blessing.
